Business Control and Compliance Officer

Review and implementation of policies on business operations affecting Financial Reports, BIR Tax reports; SEC reports and updating if any; ensures Anti Money Laundering Compliance; insurance (properties, vehicles, etc.) monitoring; Real Property taxes and business permits for BJS Dev. Corp and Holiday Homes, Inc.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible in the review of existing business controls or new policies that will further enhance compliance of business controls among departments.
  • Conducts system audit to identify compliance issues and implements corrections.
  • Coordinates with Accounting Department on the adherence of company to BIR rulings on tax withholding & reporting, VAT reporting, Income Tax Return filing and all other government mandatory reports.
  • Coordinates with Accounting Head on the submission of reports (Monthly, quarterly, annual ) required from the company ensuring proper formats and timely submission ( SEC, BIR, LGUs and other government agencies) where the company will be required to comply.
  • Coordinates with Accounting Head during internal audit discussion; BIR meetings.
  • Coordinates with Purchasing & General Services Officer and Accounting Head on the prompt payment of Business Permits, Real Property Taxes, Insurance payments, etc.
  • Regular update of knowledge concerning Anti Money Laundering Compliance (AMLC); coordinates with management on new AMLC rulings; certificate renewal requirements.
  • Regular update of knowledge on new rulings of BIR, SEC and audit financial standards applicable to the business (leasing & housing development).
  • Coordinates with HR Officer on the DOLE reporting compliance ensuring that all necessary reports required every annual inspection visits are complied with and or /prepared before the inspection visit.
  • Coordinates with outsourced services as regards to contract review and documentation; DOLE wages increases implementation, etc.
  • Coordinates with Site Project Engineers and Building Maintenance Supervisor on the scope of activities on janitorial and security services in line with the service contract renewal.
  • Performs other tasks that maybe assigned to by superior from time to time.

Requirements

  • Minimum Educational Attainment: BS Accountancy; with CPA license
  • Preferred Course/Training Registration: at least 5 years managerial experience and with auditing experience
  • Male or Female.
  • Specific Area(s) of experience needed: Preferably with Real Estate background. Has working knowledge in BIR reporting, with audit experience
  • Length of experience required: 5-10 years or more.
  • Specific Abilities, skills, personal qualities required: personable/good in public relations yet has a sense of authority and results-oriented, analytical, resourceful, innovative. passionate in work
